Fifty Shades of Green

Fifty Shades of Green, yes, I said 50 shades of Green. It is less than 10 miles from our home. It is a great drive to enjoy and take in the many, many shades of green. A month ago you would have had even more green before the grain grasses yellowed and started to tassel. Doing this trip nearly daily I was amazed at what was out there to see. Wondering how many people zip down that drive and never even see one shade of green or the calming atmosphere it tends to bring. One surely needs it on…See More

Wandering around the Boards, Do you Pin?

Good day to you all.  The sun is out here and breeze is calm at the  moment.   It will probably rise up around 2:30 or      3 pm and get much cooler.      Resting my shoulder and neck, so instead of trying to read lots of fine print, I did a a bit of wandering.      I am just getting the hang of Pinterest.  But I am learning that there is lots of free information out there that is       commented on differently depending on what part of the USA you may be at.  This is a good thing because…See More

I did find that marriage certificate some years ago but trying to find his parents has been my brick wall. Charles would have been born, based on marriage cert, census and death info between 1859 and 1863.

Yes, I am the same. 30 years looking for the ancestors of Charles Wright no luck. The test came out as I1a-M253.

Thanks

Hi Susan

I have not found any Powell lines in PA that connect to the Duval line in MD. Mine strictly seem to be in the  original settlement of  Bethpage, Long Island, NY and later some moved to Dutchess Co., Westchster Co., Steuben Co, and Saratoga Co., NY     Most seemed to have remained in Saratoga and Stueben Counties, however, my direct line left NY and settled first in Wisconsin and then some left to settle  in Iowa circa 1859 and subsequently stayed there for a good 4 generations or longer. Sorry I am not able to connect to the MD Powell/Duval lines.
