I appreciate the concern for prior infection but it was the FindAGrave tab in my browser that was taken over by the malware, not a pop-up.

I was on the site for a while before it happened. I believe I was clicking the link on my profile page to go to a virtual cemetery. I have since clicked the same link without incident. It may be one particular ad in their rotation.

I had the same bad experience. The FindAGrave page disappeared and loaded a page that claimed to be the windows virus protection. Even though I closed the window it attempted twice to download an executable to my hard drive. Thank goodness my browser always checks with me first. I was not clicking an ad when this happened. It started when I followed a regular link on the site. BEWARE!

Good morning- I had a virus scare off of Find A Grave this morning. The pop up was trying to look like a page from my computer. The warning said something about spy ware. Sorry if my details are lite, I was a little shocked.

Can I add a cemetery bio and address information?
Yes. Please email the URL to the cemetery along with the information to info@findagrave.com
Where should the GPS coordinates be placed for a cemetery?
For large cemeteries, it should be at the main entrance.
For rural cemeteries with access roads, it should be at the access road entrance.
For rural cemeteries along a road, centered is fine.
In general, the smaller the cemetery, the more important that it is centered
How do I add a map to a cemetery record?
Please email the latitude and longitude coordinates in decimal format (dd.dddd) to: info@findagrave.com. Be sure to include the link to the cemetery, cemetery name, city, county, and country in your email, so we know which cemetery the gps coordinates are for.

I have run across a problem several times on FAG and would like some advice. I will look up a cemetery and find what I think is the right one but it may not have sufficient address or identifing information.
Is there a way to add address and GPS coordinates to an existing cemetery?

In response to question on how to find family in Allentown, PA, have you tried the public library to see if they have a copy of the local paper (probably on microfilm) and look in the obituaries. I have been writing to several libraries and they have pulled up the obit which tells when, where person passed away as well as where they were to be buried. This might help. Good luck.

Hi to Dawn S Hicks Re headstones Ayresome gardens
I have had a reply from the council and sad to say it is most shocking
apparently the headstones have been DESTROYEDas the cemetery was closed quite a while ago they assumed there would be no direct living relatives, there are however transcriptions - which are not the same, sorry to have such negative news

re Ayresome Gardens,
this is a Victorian Cemetery long since closed and recentley refurbished and is now used as a park and gardens, They are trying to locate the whereabouts of any headstones that were in the park, and I will let you know, as soon as I do
