I actually haven't been on this site for awhile, but I saw so many emails flooding my mailbox about this group that I decided I had better check it out and see what was going on. I guess I'm shocked and disappointed. I love…
This is a group for anyone with central Ohio roots. Please share your favorite links and Ohio research tips. Post your brickwalls and see if we can't help you with them.
GotGenealogy.com is devoted to helping researchers find and document their ancestors by utilizing online resources. Can you do it all online? No, no, a thousand times no. But you can do a whole lot online. We'll show you how.See More
This group is for anyone that has an interest in the South West Ohio area. Share your links to SW Ohio that you find useful. And maybe we can help someone knock down that brick wall.
That's awesome! My husband's great great grandfather, Ernest, the man who is pictured on the group page, came from Saxony. His wife's name was Maria Friderick Philippine Smith. I have no idea where the family got the name Smith, but…
I am actually a first generation American. My dad came over from Germany when he was 19. I know I still have an uncle and a cousin there. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to visit.

I have to agree that findagrave.com is one of the best (and it's free!) websites for genealogical research. I can't tell you the number of gravesites I have been able to have photographed due to the generosity of the other members of the…

They seem to have disappeared off the census after 1910. It's…See More

I am glad to joined the website. Yes, you can add photos, etc. Your account has been activated and an introduction sent. Let me know if you have any questions.
Yes, you can add photos, etc. You can even link the photos to the individual(s) shown in the photo. An example, I have a photo of five generations of Vines' which I linked to each family member. Use the media option on the administration screen to add the photos, as well as individuals and families. The second screen for photos/headstones/etc allows you to link to the individuals shown in the photo. You id has been activated and an intro letter sent to your e-mail.
You beat me to the invite. If you haven't visited The Shoemaker Family Research Center (http://www.shoemakerfrc.ancestryhost.org), please stop by for a visit.
