I would like to exchange information with anyone researching the Aikman and Hicks families in Meigs CountyTennessee. I believe John L Aikman lived in Blount County at one time. George and Ira Aikman left Tennessee in the early 1900's and went…
I just wanted to clear up a point about Peter Reinbold.
the 1619 birth date was posted by me, as a est. from is son's B/D
So i don,t want to mislead anyone. It is a very good number
to work from.
PS : thier is a 40% chance that the rainbolt's are not decened from
peter or elias, or mattheus NOW !!!!!!
As everyone should know by noww, joseph Rainbolt sr. is not the son
of mattheus Reinbold. However I believe that he was his grandfather
Terry Gentry and I are working on this problem as we speak.
he has hired an onsite genealogist in NC to search for more recordcs.
ALSO THE RAINBOLT NAME ORIGINATES FROM SWIZTERLAND
AND NOT GERMANY AS WE ALL HAVE BELIEVED ALL THESE
YEARS.
aka - Hans Rainbolt , 1398 Swiss. Barge owner on the Rhine River.
Debbie wanted me to make sure you got this while she was out:

I think the Reinbold name was like Smith in Germany. I believe but not 100% sure that I descend from Peter Reinbold 1619 to Elias Reinbold & Clara Spitzel to Mattheus Reinbold who married Anna Eva Muillier Buckel which I believe was his 2nd wife. They came over on the James & Elizabeth in 1710 with 2 children over 10. One was his stepson Balthasar Buckel. Haven't found the name of the second child. A book by Henry Z. Jones, Jr "The Palatine Families of New York" shows he was listed as Reinbolt. They came from Bad Durkeim, Germany. The Lutheran church they belonged to and their stepson helped build is now in Oldwick, NJ
My name is Ken Reinbold and I'm searching for any Reinbold history in Germany. I was told my great grandfather Jakob Reinbold immigrated to the US in 1800's probably the mid 1800's and Stuttgardt was mentioned at some point in time. I know a lot of US Census forms the spelling of names were not always correct. I have a marriage cert. from my grandfather Adam Reinbold and his cert. stated his father as Jakob Reinbold and his mother was Emilie (Emilia) Wagoner. My great grandfather Jakob immigrated here when he was 4 years old. My parents/grandparents lived in Monroe County, Waterloo, Illinois. My grandfather Adam was supposed to have two sisters who lived in St.Louis, Mo. but I can't find anything on them. This is a real challenge. My parents died when I was 17 and 23. I'm now 62 and retired and am very interested in research my family tree. Thanks
