- For what reason did you start genealogy research?
- My father unexpectedly passed away in 2007 and while filling out his death certificate I realized that I knew next to nothing about our family. I didn't even know my grandmother's maiden name (Wilmot) or the city where my father was born (Bismarck, ND). I started researching and quickly became addicted to it.
Some of my family names are Malaterre, Bradford, Wilmot, Backman, and Michelsen. My husband's tree includes Bailey, Hensley, and Ezell.

My mom-in-law lives near Williamson County, so I occasionally take pictures up there, too. Happily, this area seems to be pretty well covered by volunteer photographers."
