Hi Craig, I think I am connected to the Home family as well. I have traced the connection to George Hume who came to Virginia from Scotland in the 1760s. From my research, I believe he participated in the Jacobite rebellion.

Hi- I am looking at my book titled, "Descendants of Nicholas Humes of Massachusetts, the First Five Generations" Vol. 1, by Charles Warren Humes, Ed D. In this generation book he starts with Nicholas Humes, b. ca. 1690, Scotland, occ. Housewright, m. (1) 15 Mar. 1713/14, inn Boston, Suffolk Co., MA, Joanna Everton, (2) Margaret (last name not known). Charles states that the origians is not known, maybe of a Shipwright since Joanna's family was of a prominent shipping family.
I would like to know whatever else is from these Humes' families,
Craig.
