Hi!
I am a new member and have been reading some of the previous comments. I have a Sarah Pitzer who married a Henry Boggess and I have birth and death dates....birth: 11 Oct 1798 in Botetourt County, VA, died 12 Sep 1851 in Macoupin, IL. I don't have marriage date. His father is : Henry Boggess, Sr. and mother is Anna Mary (Polly) Pitzer. I have an 1850 Federal Census record attached that shows him in Macoupin, IL.
If this is your line, please let me know. I have quite a bit about the Pitzer line.

I also do West Virginia Research, most Wyoming County and McDowell County.

I research the families Clay, Farley, Mullins, Wills, Laxton, Cook and Toler and others. I am just starting to research Anderson and Greer.

These are my husband's ancestors. If anyone is researching these names I will be glad to share what I have found. I have been researching these families for over 30 years and still am stuck on some of them too.

Phillip Pitzer mentioned that his cousin Sarah Pitzer (1800-1875) married Henry Boggess, Jr. (1798-ca. 1852) and that he and I might be cousins. Sarah's husband Henry, Jr. is indeed a third cousin of my ancestor Henry Boggess (1793-1891), of Marion Co., WV, whose second wife (also my ancestor) was Catherine Pitzer. I have not yet found whether Sarah and Catherine Pitzer are related. Catherine's immigrant ancestors were Harman Pitzer and Marie Elizabeth Zimmerman who emigrated from Germany to Loudoun Co., VA.

I'm researching the KALAR family, in particular: William KALAR b 1760. He moved to Canada at the end of the Revolutionary War where he eventually died.

If anyone has any information of the KALAR family in WV I would be very excited to hear about it. (:
