Hi Patsy! I found Stephen on the 1880 census you mentioned and we're sure that's him. He was 19. I can't find him anywhere after that census until 1910 census and he is 44. This one lists him being married to Emma and lists the…

Have you tired the 1920-1930 census for him and the family. I take you dont know when or where he died right. Have you tired looking for him in the 1900 census with his wife Emma. What about the 1870-1880 census in VA living with his parents. patsy

My daughter bought an old portrait at a second hand store. We don't know who the woman or where the portrait came from. She asked if I could come over soon and take a photo of it so hopefully I'll have it on here within the next few days.

Does anyone know what funeral homes were open in Welch, WVA area in August 1937? Would there be any records anywhere of the funeral arrangements made at that time?

Leonard (Jack) Creasey died at Grace Hospital in 1937

Thumbnail
I am looking for information on Leonard Buford (Jack) Creasey (Creasy)- he died at Grace Hospital in Welch, WVA on August 2, 1937. According to death record he died from crushing chest injury which occurred when he was caught between the mine car and top of the mine. Does anyone have any info? He was married to Katherine (Katie). At one time they lived in Logan WVA. I'm trying to find out what happened to Jack's wife Katie. Did she remarry? Did they have any children at the time of his death? I…See More

Who Am I?

Sounds like a stupid question to some people, but for years I wondered about the people in my past who made me the person I am today. Of course certain events and things in life will make you and mold you into who you are, but I need to know about my ancestors. Who were they? Where did they live? What did they do? What did they look like? Do I look like any of them? Do I get my kind heart from one of them or my temperament from someone else? I started researching my family tree about 15 years… Continue

Hi Cindy, from Cindy....My husband's family came from Ireland, County Clare, to South Central Wisconsin, Green County. The family lived there for over one hundred years.
Richard Dooly born 1804 County Clair, immigrated 1845 to Mount Pleasant Twp., Green, Wisconsin. He married Catherine Hickey born Christmas 1810 Queens County. They had 3 children before immigrating. I still have a brother-in-aw, who lives in Green County, Wisconsin, but he and his wife do not have any children. But the other siblings including my husband and I have male children so the name lives on. There are Dooley cousins also living in Wisconsin.
So unless your Dooley name and my Dooley name can be connected back in Ireland, I doubt we are very closely related. But that is one of the reasons I'm here, to find relatives, and go back further in Ireland.
Thanks for responding, happy searching. If you find a connection, let me know, cause I'm stumped as to where to find anymore information, going back.
