I'm not sure I am related to John but am working on all Utt/Ott people I know of and trace them back to their original immigrant. I did have William and Sarah Hamilton Utt as a possibility of being his parents but haven't found a hard link either as of yet. I'll keep looking, especially since that is a family "myth". If I can ever find the proof then I'll have to work on William as I have not found proof of his parentage either. There are a couple of possibilities but dates just don't be matching for me. It's a never ending quest. I actually descend from a Henry (Henrich) Utt who was born about 1720 in Germany and died in Pennsylvania in about 1792.
