I think it was supposed to exist and the manual was printed in advance. Apparently problems arose after that and all conversion was deleted.

The conversion tool does not exist. I don't remember if it ever did, it's been awhile. Used to be, you could manually combine old sources into new ones, but now it has to be the same template to convert new to new. I did combine some in…

The transfer policy is not "I should be able to have all my relatives transferred." It is DIRECT ancestors (of you or your spouse) back to the 4th generation (great-grandparents). A husband's grandmother's brother is not within…

Find.A.Grave guidelines state that contributers should transfer withing 4 generations of direct line descendants, up to and including your ggrandparents. That does not mean that your friend can't have her cousin transfered to her. An email to…

Mary - thanks for your comment on my blog post. Unfortunatly, I DO have a Smith in my line and my cousins of other surnames in England will not help me with it - too big of an elephant to tackle! It's especially frustrating when names are reused across generations so you have 12 John Smiths to track down! -cindy

Are you saying that if you put a picture on Legacy they stay there and dont disappear all the time. I use Rootsmagic and this is a very annoying feature.
