This site has a lot of American members (not complaining of course) so I thought I'd make it a bit easier to search for the British Isles.

I am a volunteer at the Fiske Genealogy Library in Seattle, WA. Our catalog is on World Cat. I can do lookups at the Fiske Library. We have something for most states but our main emphasis is New England and of course Washington

Just signed up today. I can do research at the Stark County Library in Canton, Ohio. Bear with me if I don't get right back to you as I am taking of my mother who is in the early stages of Alzhemiers and my husband has been having some health problems.

Sheila is there any way you can find some ancestors that only mention Swansea, Wales as being their birth place?

I can do lookups at the Denver (CO) Public Library. They have a fantastic genealogy section. Google books will tell you if they have a particular title.

Sheila, sounds like a good source of info. We also have a section at our local library specifically for local research. I love browsing through the old articles and the like, there is a huge amount of local history there!

I'm willing to search my local library for others that are too far away. I'm near Taunton, Somerset, England (but don't live there....) send me a message if you need some look-ups.
