I am looking for possible parents of DANIEL MACNAMARA of BANDON, COUNTY CORK, IRELAND born about 1820 who migrated to MONMOUTHSHIRE, WALES sometime prior to 1854. I am also looking for parents of his wife, CATHERINE DONOVAN or MCCARTHY (she used both surnames) born about 1835 in SKIBBEREEN, COUNTY CORK, IRELAND who also migrated to WALES before 1854. All ten of their children were baptized Roman Catholic with definite Irish baptismal sponsors. Entire family were coal miners in Wales and the United States.

I'm interested in Fitzgeralds in Ireland. Our ancestors came over in the late 1700s, settling first in Canada, and then moving down to Illinois. I have no data on where they originated in Ireland, so I'm seeking any other Fitzgerald researchers to hopefully connect some dots.

I am searching for records for my Greatgrandmother who I believe was born in CT and then returned to Ireland. I am impressed with this site and it is easy to access.

Carolyn, I have a Dunlop from Ayrshire, Scotland. Perhaps there was a change in the spelling at some point?

My family names from Ireland are McCrory, Murphy, and I'm not sure if my Dunlap name is Irish or from Scotland. Still searching that one.

Hiya. My Irish ancestry includes the surnames of French, Graham (also have the Scottish Graham's on my tree), O'Neill, Johnson, and others.
