"Recently, I viewed the webinar at Legacy Family Tree by Marian Pierre-Louis. It was an excellent presentation on doing research in Connecticut, a state I have found difficult to do research in as I do not live nearby either.

Hi Nora, I got my information on John Brown from some info my grandmother had. in about 1920 a family member named Perley Benton Brown did some research on the Browns in our family, this is where it came from. because I do not know who johns parents were, And I don't know who any of his brothers or sisters were, I would just be guessing.
Thanks for your advise. I have long suspected that it is misspelled. I have checked an old map of Galway, but found nothing similar. It looks almost like a place in Wales. Somebody along through the years probably didn't know how to spell it and just guessed. Will keep trying to locate something.
