The ball point pen story reminds me of my eldest son when we received his kindergarten class photo. I caught him just in time, with sissors in hand - he was going to cut himself out of the nice 8x10 picture for us to keep. There is a nice slice in the 8x10, but he is stil lintact.

I think that findagrave is one of the best sites I have come across. Not only is it addicting to add memorials and photos, but I have found several great pictures of my ancestors on there that I likely wouldn't have found elsewhere. What a wonderful site!

LMAO! Of Betty... the story you just sent made me laugh so hard. I so needed that laugh. I will be putting the story together for my next addition of Graveyard Rabbit of Wichita County. If I am luck in finding the grave marker I will let you know. Again, thanks for the wonderful laugh. After the last two weeks at work... it sure was welcomed.

Hey, at least she left you with some idea of who the people are, even if she did not know better. My mother has an album of very old pictures with no idea who they are!

Glenn yes my grandmother did not know any better and she has marked many of the old photos that are over 100 years old now. She marked them when she was in her 70s and her mind was starting to slip. She wanted to leave us some idea of those who came before us. She is the 6 yr old girl just on the right under the woman and 3 children circled.. The little girl with the big collar with white lacy around edge.

What a shame someone found it necessary to use a ball point pen on that old group photograph. Let us hope it was a duplicate and not the original.

Robin.. can you send me your e-mail.. I think you would find the story on the photo below interesting and shows how sharing genealogy can solve 50 year old mysteries. it is sort of to long to put on here
send e-mail to TxOld300@aol.com

Robin, I Know my gr-grandparents, Nathaniel Stanley Dunn who died in 10 Mar 1921 and Ida May NORRIS Dunn who died 22 May 1954 were buried in Iowa Park. I do not know if they have stones or not. I do not have photos of them or other DUNNs or NORRIS in Iowa Park.
