Hi Caro,
My Campbell line starts with my great grandmother Iowinah Campbell b. 1846 in PA, USA; her father - Johathan Alfred b. 1806 also in PA; his father Matthew D. b. 1781 in Donegal, Ireland; his father Matthew b 1760 in Donegal, Ireland; his father John b. 1720 in Argyll Shire, Scotland; his father Allan b. abt 1685 in Ardchattan, Argyllshire, Scotland; his father John b. abt 1660 in West Argyll shire. I have not run across an Elva Campbell - sorry, but if I do I will pass it on. Linda

She married in 1912 to Elmer Redcay. I can't find the certificate (long story, I think they went to MD to do it) but the 1920 census says they've been married for 8 years .. They are both still living with their parents in 1910.

:) you're welcome! I'm sure it will piece itself together if its right.
Do you know when Elva Campbell married? SHe would have been about 20 in 1910, so she might be under a different name by then if she married.

Katy:

I found William Heilman and Rebecca Kreiser on someone's Ancestry account. William's birth date in that tree is the same as the birth date on William's birth certificate, which I found on familysearch.org. So I did find them. BUT .. and this a huge but .. the ancestry account tree doesn't have any children listed for them so I have no idea if this is right family. But hopefully it is. I have no idea how to find out though since I don't have enough information to request a birth certificate. Hmm I'm sure some more investigation will help. William was born in Lebanon so I'm sure the historical society will have something on them since apparently Heilman is a common name there.

Thanks for finding that census report for me. I greatly appreciate it!!

My PA Names include Avery, West, Collins, Ayers, Peters, Wolford Wohlford Kleckner Snook Kraemer, Koch, Bartels, Kleffman, Ferguson and Allen. I am especially interested in Wolford-Wohlford anywhere. I am also especially interested in Avery and West in the Bradford Co PA area.

Hi Caro--
What evidence do you have for Elva?

Linda:

What Campbell family?! My great grandmother was a Campbell and I haven't been able to find anything beyond her parents.

Elva Campbell was born 23 March 1890 and died September 1981. She was the daughter of John G Campbell and Martha (Black?)

Hi,
I am happy to find this group with an interest in PA genealogy.
I am researching Campbell, Wray, Postlethwaite, Wright, Douglas and Cartilidge ... mostly in Huntingdon Co.
