Hi Julie:

Hi Julie:
Is "Aunt Sue" aka Helen (Shriner) Babiak's daughter? Earlier you wrote, "...26 Sept 2009 ' ... I would think that they lived on a farm so he would need the kids to help on the farm.' '

You might ask about the farm assumption. All indications I've seen so far suggest George was a coal miner. --GJ

In your Friend request you said your husband had family in PA. There is family of Carr's who go to our church in Penbrook outside Harrisburg. Wouldn't it be a hoot if they are related.

Hi Julie, I am looking for info on Elizabeth Shriner (Schreiner) who was born in Luxembourg. She married John Majerus around 1885. In the 1900 census she had a John Shriner living with her family and I am guessing that was her brother. Unfortunately John never had any children so that is a dead end. Are your Shriner ancestors from Luxembourg? Nancy

Hope this is a helpful tip:
When you post news items and obituaries, please try to include the _source_. For newspapers, that's usually the name of the newspaper,* date of publication and column/row number. If you accessed the source via an online record, add that information too.

Espec impt. with obituaries because often they read, "died Tueday."

Hope this helps. --GJ

When listing the name of local papers paper, you can modify the name to include it's location ... so, _Sun (Denver, Colorado) News_, or the _Philadelphia (Pennsylvania) Inquirer_.

Hi Julie:
I noticed that Paul was LDS ... from personal experience, some Catholics object to the re-baptisms performed by LDS church. It is a topic that comes up from time to time in our family---we are of mixed religions.
