I need help!!

I need a copy of a record on ancestry or other source (I only subscribe to the UK portion of ancestry).

The record is in: All Border Crossings: From Canada to U.S., 1895-1956 on Ancestry.com

I need the image associated with Eleanor Hallett crossing from Buffalo, USA.

Any other travel of Eleanors would also be appricated.

Thanks in advance
Jo

Betty Jo, I had FTM 2009 and upgraded to FTM 2010. I too have Vista. I've had no printing problems but experienced the same issues as far as uploading the media. In talking with the Ancestry tech support, I'm told the problem is in the size of the upload. You should upload your tree without the media and then upload the media separately...it's a pain in the derriere but that's what must be done. However, Ancestry does allow all to be uploaded in one sitting but you still have to link the media to the proper people. By the way, I found the tech support to be good.

For me, the bigger issue I have with Ancestry is in updating files. You can't upload just revised or new individuals into your existing tree. I find maintaining two trees (online and on my computer) to be cumbersome to say the least.

I installed the 2009 version just before 2010 came out and am still trying to figure out some of the moves on it. In Nov. I bought a new computer because the old one laid done and threw it's arms in the air yelling I GIVE UP. The new one has Windows 7 which could prove interesting to others. It was not compatable with my email server so had to download Thunderbird to use. My friend who has the 2010 says she is having some trouble with her downloads also but thinks it may be the #7 giving her fun. So far I am having some trouble with pictures tranferring also. Good luck to all.

Kelly, I have been working on my husband's family tree, Blevins, for the last 1 1/2 years. If you send me an email at: eblevins@neo.rr.com I will see if we share the same family and names. Hoping to hear from you.

Candy, I have some Rogers family. Contact me via my page. We'll see if there is any connection.

Is there anyone looking for the Rogers' Family?

Is there anyone searching for Blevins Family?

Gee, I don't understand why you had that problem. I am delighted with FTM2010 and had no issues with my downloads from Ancestry. May I ask how you went about your downloading and what OS and browser you have?

I had the same problem BettyJo did. The product is very disappointing. I changed my mind and am looking for another genealogical tree product.

I use the website is there anyway to get a URL for my family tree on that?
