What surnames are you interested in researching?: Worthington (PA, MD), Strode (PA), Cheyney (PA), Johnston (MA), Reeve (NJ), Whitall (NJ), Allen (MA, ME), Carroll (ME). Also have three other Worthington Lines that I do a limited amount of research on. (1) Robert (the Quaker) Worthington / "Bobby Dunblain" Worthington (NJ, KY, WV, OH); (2) Nicholas Worthington (New England)' (3) the Byberry Worthington's (PA)

What countries and other locations are you interested in researching?: USA

What is your level of genealogy knowledge?: Intermediate Family History Researcher

For what reason did you start genealogy research?: My daughter gave me the Family Tree Maker program, as she thought I needed something to do. It didn't take too long to get up and running, as I have a couple of cousin's that had already done some family history research.

After a Reunion, the cousin's and my parents took a week of day trips, to the stomping grounds of our ancestors, including the grave of Capt. John Worthington (1650 - 1701) in Annapolis, Maryland.

And, as they say, "the rest is history".

A lot of USgenweb is gone, SSI records at Rootsweb is gone, There are a few sites left, like some free census records at USgenweb census project, and a few county projects, plus the LDS site and findagrave. I don't have the knowledge to set up a new site, I wished I did. Maybe I can get together with my IT daughter in Wyoming someday and get a site up.
