Hi Joyce,
It us great to be a part of your Geneaolgy Wise website and it is definitely okay to let everyone know about my research. I was successful in presenting my paper about the Choctaw Freedmen and the Presbyterian Church in Valiant, Oklahoma at the Yale University Divinity School. Everyone should please check out my website at http://blackindians.asu.edu

Thanks for asking Joyce but I don't know of any of my Kidds who had slaves. Most of them were in Lawrence County, ala except for some in Tishomingo Cty. If you would like you can go to my website and look and see if there might be any info that would help you. www.marlar.tribalpages.com Let me know if I can help you in any way.

Joyce, Great hearing from you. I sort of fell off the genealogy wagon...hit a stone wall!! I'm up and running again. Last time I heard Ron was no longer involved in CAAGS. He lives in the same area I live in, Pasadena/Altadena, but I never see him. A genealogy group has been started here...sort of a branch of CAAGS. I don't know if you remember Charlotte Bocage, but she is part of the core/start up group. You lived here!! small world..

Hi Joyce, Great hearing from you. As far as I know Ron Batiste is no longer active in CAAGS. He lives in the same area I live in, Pasadena/Altadena, but I never see him. A Group has started a genealogy group here in Pasadena. I'm starting to do my research again...fell off the wagon for about 4 years.:(. I saw my daughter Gale yesterday...she is a friend of your Sister that lives in Corona.

Joyce, where in Alabama were your Kidd family? My grandmother, Annie Rebecca Jane Kidd Fell was born in Lawence Cty, AL and died in Tishomingo Cty, Al. Her father was Asbury Kidd and Grandfather John B. Kidd, both from Lawrence Cty, Al.
