Hi Betty, my African American Kidds seem to have been in the area of Monroe/Lowndes counties Mississippi and Lamar/Marion Counties Alabama. They had Native/African lineage and are related to the Culps and/or Kolbs. Were any of your Kidd ancestors slave holders? I have really hit the brick wall on these folks.
