I am a member of the St. Charles County Historical Society (SCCHS) located at 101 South Main, St. Charles, MO. SCCHS has recently merged with the St. Charles County Genealogical Society and is in the process of incorporating their genealogical records. With the addition of these records to those already available at the SCCHS Archives, there is treasure trove of information for anyone researching ancestors who once lived in the St. Charles County area. SCCHS has a website (www.scchs.org) which can provide further information. Some indexes and other data is available on-line.

I am a member of the Genealogical Society of Central Missouri. We have speakers from local historians and, more rarely, from out of state. We share a library with the Walters-Boone County Historical Society, which is located in the Walters-Boone County Historical Society Museum.
I do not belong to any of the following but I am aware of similar societies in Audrain County, in St. Joseph (Buchanan County), in Jefferson County, and in the St. Louis area (both St. Louis City and St. Louis county are involved)

I belong to, and am Secretary for the Hudson County (NJ) Genealogical Society. We are only 2 years old, having had our first meeting in October 2007. We have had excellent speakers, and our line-up for next season is also top-notch. We are also working on adding databases and records to our great website, www.hudsoncountynjgenealogy.org,
