Not sure if you remember me,but I found the parents of my great grandmother Lillie M Hutchison. They are Charles Hutchison (born PA)and Sarah J Thomas (born OH). I found this info on the familysearch.org and it was listed in Indiana Marriages…
I have been looking for his parents, but so far have not found them. He is living in Spencer Co,KY in 1850 with wife Mildred and children Harriet and Alexander. I thought he and Charles STEWART also of Spencer Co (m Martha HAND) were brothers or some other relation, apparently they are not. According to Clan Stewart magazine this James married Milly STREET (dau of Joseph and Milly STREET)11 March 1810 in Adair Co,KY. There is a footnote on the page about a David STEWART,Sr. (wife was Rebecca…See More
Hi Everette, I was in contact with Joseph's son Joe (Jr.) Roberts before he passed away and the last time I sent a Christmas card to Margie it came back. If you would like you can contact me directly at DAVCINEWA@aol.com. I am wondering if we…
I am the Grandson Of Joseph Waldo Poulter (Roberts). He was adopted by Sissy Roberts in the early 1900's in Natchez Mississippi. She also had 2 son's that drown at a relativley early age.
Cynthia,
I was just going through some of the inquiries and noticed you possibly had an ancestor come through the Phila port in the 1700s. I found a George Schwartz, no middle name, come into Philadelphia on Sept., 2nd, 1749 on the ship Albany. The…
Hi Cynthia,
I am acutally looking into my family history. My mother was a Hutchison, her father was Hutchison & her mother was a Vaughn. My mom grew up in Russelville, KY, but I'm not sure when my grandparent were married. My grandmother…
Joseph R POULTER probably still had some family living in Indiana at that time. His sister Lucinda POULTER PERCIFIELD RHODES lived her whole life in Brown County,IN (born 1872 died 1965). She is the only one I know of that did stay there until she…
I just meant that it may help to search for her since we know a possible birthplace for her parents. I looked around a little this afternoon, but didn't find anything that I haven 't seen before. I once thought I had found Lillie and that…
Hi Cynthia:
Thank you for providing the additional information, it is really helpful.
You wrote, " I guess you don't really need all this now ..."
Actually, my brain is working on all of this. Dear Josephine somehow got from…
Fabulous!
Randall wrote, "Who's Walter?"
Would appear Walter is aka, "Joseph Waldo POULTER ROBERTS (adopted by a neighbor) born 4 August 1904" ... making the census a good fit for the two children not reported with Joseph…
Hello again Cynthia,
Not sure if this is still of interest to you , but I believe this to be Josephine in the 1910 census. Most all the criteria (age, location, status[ward], parents place of birth) seems to match. Again the last name seems to be…
I don't know if you still want this info or not. Vaughn Poulter was buried in Natchez City Cemetery-public ground marker no. 60. Info for his parents was Joe Poulter and Lillie Galden or Golden both born Indiana. I was wrong before, cause of…
Wow,it is a miracle. This is the first time ever seeing Lillie in ANY census. Thanks so much Randall for finding this and to GeneJ for all the info found prior to this and if I am not mistaken for starting this particular group. An interesting…

I was just going through some of the inquiries and noticed you possibly had an ancestor come through the Phila port in the 1700s. I found a George Schwartz, no middle name, come into Philadelphia on Sept., 2nd, 1749 on the ship Albany. The other George Schwartz's had different middle names than Michael. AI don't know if this is helpful, especially since you have a son listed as being born in 1784. Good luck with all your research.
P.S. See my note just below.
This is little add on....
GRxlkjaARJk Hutchison is indexed 1880 at Ancestry as Grammas Hutchison, has wife Mary, children are: William, ae 5, Charles, ae 2, Sarah, ae 1, and Leonard, ae 6 mos. They reside at Hamblen.
Re your Most Wanted census quest.
Help is on the way!
If you enter no name, just the state and the county, Ancestry will return a list of all the indexed entries for the 1880 census, from any 1880 census search page. There are just over 10000 entries there, presented in alpha order (in the index) with no surname known, I believe, entered first. The Hs begin on about pg 70 (50 to a page). If you narrow your search to just a township, you'll find even fewer entries. Hamblen has shy of 3000 entries.
FamilySearch.org doesn't have the 1880 images, but they do a good job associating variant surname spellings.
If I browse, I'd rather browse the Heritage Quest images. Do you have ready access via your public library?
Will need to send you a little mroe about GRxlkjaARJk Hutchison ... believe I had traces about him in another county. --GJ
Hi Cynthia:
I'm looking at your Hutchinson challenge again. Wonder if you want to add a little addenda at the end of the original challenge, noting the surname as we found it on the marriage record, "Hutchison."
Let me know if you need help with that edit.Thank you again for supporting Most Wanted. --GJ
