I'm also trying to find out who the parents were of William Drake,Sr. who was born circa 1760 in Bucks Co.,PA. In 1780 he married Elizabeth Hinkle in Frederick Co.,MD. Two of his brothers,Thomas & David Drake married two of Elizabeth's sisters,Sarah & Margaret Hinkle as well.

Thanks for any help!

I hit my brick wall with Robert Chapman born 1811 (probably in Cornwall) d 1843. Married Elizabeth Shapling 5 Aug 1828 in Werrington, Cornwall. Robert was a carpenter/joiner and I suspect so was his father as the skill was passed on severla generations.

Yvonne thankyou for your offer of swedish ancestry. I have started a Swedish Brick wall discussion group in the forum of this group. I am looking for major assistance as all others have not gone anywhere with this one. Hope you can help.

I have hit a brick wall researching my husbands Mothers People. His Mother was adopted by her Maternal Grandparents and raised by them. I know who her Mother is and I have her death certificate and other info, however I cant find out who her Father is. She doesnt even know. Her grandparents were: Granderson Edgar "Jack" ALLEN and Alma Ruby DAPPER-ALLEN from Litchfield, Montgomery, Illinois. Any advice how to proceed?
