Most of my life I was told that "our" Hinkle line was descended down form
Anthony Henckel and I am attempting to connect my known lineage back to ancestors before 1839. This was the birthdate of my GGGF James Samuel Hinkle. James married Eliza Walker b. 1841 in Knox County Indianna. James was reared in Jefferson County KY. In 1931 my GF moved to Maryland. Where the Hinkles stayed until about 1985. There remain one Nephew that resides in Baltimore and his name is James Patrick Hinkle. I know of no other Hinkles in Maryland
Pam, I am related to the Hinkles also through the Hoover line . My Great Great grandmother was Sarah Hinkle married John Hoover your Slawson Reeves cousin-Bev
