For anyone who might have relatives buried in Point Clare cemetery on the NSW Central Coast I am quite happy to take photographs of headstones, etc as I live close by.

Hi I have joined today and look forward to gaining more knowledge as well as passing some on.
I am a First Fleet descendant as well as having other convict ancestors.
My particular interests are Price and Funnell names.

Hi Sandra you may be able to help me track a lost relative that seemingly disappeared I can't find any details as to his death. Do you have access of all BDM in AUstralia?

Our group is growing each day. It is pleasing to see so many Australians embracing Web 2.0 technology as they pursue their interest in family history.

I am pondering the purpose of this group. I think its scope - the whole of Australia - precludes it from being a place where we can post very specific requests. I think these should be probably be directed to groups that concentrate on particular surnames, pieces of software, specific regions etc.,

I imagine that it will be most useful for posts such as Sandra Francis' generous offer to do BDM lookups for all of Australia.

Perhaps we can share news of new resources in all formats, help to others in the use of Genealogy Wise - it was great to see members helping each other out with photo posting. It is a good forum to advertise events that are happening in your area.

If you don't want to be bombarded with emails from Genealogy Wise then this article will show you how to set your preferences to prevent lots of pesky messages coming through to your mailbox.
