The contact for Amhurst Cemetery is listed below, I am not sure that Betty is still doing it but if not she should be able to point you in the right direction. I am 99.9% sure that there is not headstone for your Dorcas as I only found her name int he burial register not in the headstone register.
When you work out how to scan I would like a copy of Dorcas death certificate. It isn't that hard really - I can walk you through it over the phone, which I have done with many people.
Anyway - I am glad to have been of some help and don't hesitate to ask. Starting off is always daunting but my most valuable piece of advise I can give you is to always and I mean always record where you get any information from regardless of how small. If it is off a web site, then record the location (url), the persons name and their email address and most importantly the date you found the information.
You maybe able to write to the Geelong Cemetery for information on his grave, who purchased it, if it is a perpetuity on it, if it is a single grave or multi one, if he is alone or not, etc.
The Geelong Cemetery website http://www.gct.net.au/search.html#deceased has a link on it that you can contact them on.
Is this your gg grandfather

Hi Heather. We may be more than Genealogy Wise friends, my Grt Grt Grandfather was Arthur Laverty. Arthur was born in Antrim, Nth Ireland and died in a mining accident at Butchers Gully, Fryers Town, Victoria. His Daughter, Sarah Jane Laverty, became my Grt Grandmother.
Have a great day---- Tony.
