Have been a member of Genealogy Wise for 4+ years, but new to the "Cross" Family Group.  Collected a good amount of information about Franklin (Frank) P. Cross 1853-1934 (PA -> OH -> WI -> SD -> CA -> WA]; he's my wife's 2X G-Grandfather. Still have open questions which are driving me nuts (and I have yet to find anyone that has clear-cut answers with supporting documentation).

Frank's father is James H. Cross (from NY); mother is Elizabeth with 4-5 possible maiden names (Reams; Stantliff/Standcliff, etc.; even Warcliff) - This is issue #1.  Frank marries Mary (Myrett) Bolles, daughter of George J Bolles (from NY) in Jul. 1876 (in Stevens Point, WI), but 4 years later, the US Census (WI) shows his wife as Henriett (I've looked for several years and can't find a credible maiden name - This is issue #2 and 3 (married to both? and Henriett-?).  Frank has a daughter Mabel but who's the mother ? - issue #4.

Frank, a brother-in-law (Thom. O. Hanlon), and their father-in-law (Geo J.Bolles), move to the Dakota Territory and apply for homesteads.  Both a Henriett and Myrett Cross die (1884-85), daughter Mable gets adopted and Frank apparently leaves and goes to California.  He marries a 3rd time in Grays Harbor Cty., WA to Sarah (Britt) Wilkins (her 2nd marriage; they divorce or separate within 2-3 years.  Frank dies in Aberdeen, WA - no one to provide info/DOB is way off and he's buried in an unmarked grave - Fern Hill Cemetery.

One last note: this Cross family is significantly tied in/inter-married/multiple generations, to the Hugoboom family of NY.  If anyone can provide any insight to this person, or the related Cross family, I'd appreciate your assistance very much.  Thank you, Milt Larson.

I am looking for John L. Sullivan Cross biological parents. I believe that his father is John Walter Cross, but havent found evidence to back that up. John Sullivan Cross was born 3-24-1921 in Jackson, Michigan. His father John L. Walter Cross "Jack" was born 4-25-1896 in Roselms, Paulding, Ohio.

I think his biological mother was: Clara Landon (Landin) born about 1878 in michigan. She married John Walter Cross on 11-21-1919 in Jackson, MIchigan.

I do know that John L. Walter Cross remarried to Emma Breese on 2-21-1925 in Mason, Ingham County, Michigan. And I have found census with John L. Sullivan in it with John Walter Cross and Emma.

But would love to know if John Walter Cross & Clara Landon was John L. Sullivan's biological parents. If anyone can help me in this, I would appreciate it.

I do know that Clara Landon did marry a Wm. Buskirk. I believe it was after John Walter Cross, but dont positive!
