Hi I have a 2nd great grandfather Adam Drysdale Balfour he was born 1825 Dunfirmline Fife Scotland out of 10 children only 4 had 2 Christian names, I can't find a relative of his with the name Drysdale so trying to work out under Scottish naming rules where it came from. Looking for descendants of the Higgs Family my earliest record is Roger Higgs 1627, some of his descendants were Samson 1762 and Joshua 1792 all from Berkshire England. There was a very large book written about them. (but I don't have it) Family went all over the world including Australia.See More

For what reason did you start genealogy research?
When I was in year 5 at primary school our teacher gave us a project for the Christmas break to do a family tree, I asked my grandma about grandads parents and she said "we dont talk about that" so I had to search for what she would not talk about, it took about 40 years to find, and it went from a tree of 36 people to well a lot!
Thomas Graham Balfour i believe is his name. Ive got pictures of him. His daughter is my direct link to them. He is buried in Montrose Wisconsin near the farm they lived on. He married Matilda Jane Oliver
