To get ahead of the curve of the U. S. Civil War sesquicentennial, I’d like to say that I’m glad that the seceding southern states lost the civil war.



That rumble you just felt was generations of my ancestors turning over in their graves, because I am a southerner to the core descended in all my lines from ancestors from the deep south and it’s Texas counterpart, East Texas.

We have been better about getting meetings posted in the events calender of the newspapers here which does seem to help with attendance but cannot see much result for adding members. We will soon be meeting with some of the local tri-county…

Hi, Sally. I was just in the chat room with you! I knew that name sounded familiar! I've noticed this posting because the county right next to me here in New Jersey is also Sussex County- it is the most northwest one in the State! Caught my eye!

Thanks, Nancy. You probably already have what is in my database on the Womacks: Sally Womack b. 1852 AL d. 1901 Yantis bur Yantis cem. m. Lewis Henry Young 1879. He b. 1856 d. 1922 also bur Yantis cem.
I also have unknown Womack m. Georgia Lee Carter and had daughter Linda M. Womack. No other data on this line.
