For what reason did you start genealogy research?

My mother "dabbled" in geneolgy for years. In the early "90's,
I began to get seriously interested in it. I am fascinated by
the early history of the families and have met people from various family lines, we had never known.My maternal ggrandparents were John and Nancy Shearer, who migrated
from GA to Wood Co. and settled in Perryville, My grandfather's mother was Margaret Caroline STinson McGee. She was a sister to James Alexander Stinson. She
also mograted from GA to Wood Co. and settled in Little Hope.
