In 1880 in Childerburg, Talledega Conty, Alabama, I find a W A Hays born abt 1828 SC, with wife Sarah and children Seth, Jasper, Elizabeth and Charles. In 1860, at Blairsville, York County, SC, W A Hays, 30, wife Eliza A, 33, and Ann Hayes age 50 (mother?). In 1850, in York, York County, SC, Ann Hays, 39, William E Hays 23 and Lizzy Ann Hays, 24 (all born in York District, SC).
