Rubie,
I don't know anything about the Indian heritage.
We would be at best very distant cousins (6th, 7th, or 8th cousins). And that would only be if George W was the son of Stanton Blankenship. Stanton had several…
Thank you Charlie
That is way more information than I have :) Do you know anything about the Indian heritage that we have through the Blankenship side of the family? I have Milford's death…

Rubie,
I do go to Ancestry.com. I will do some digging to see if I can find anything. My wife's g-g-g-grandmother was a Blankenship (Mickey Austin Blankenship (daughter of Stanton Blankenship and Susannah Perdue) who married…
What countries and other locations are you interested in researching?
USA, Germany
What is your level of genealogy knowledge?
Intermediate Family History Researcher
If you are a genealogy expert, what are your specialties?
No, I'm not an expert, but I like to focus on obituaries, birth and death certificates, marriage licenses, and census records, Find-A-Grave, and SSDI. My favorite resource has been the Kiel Files, synonomous to the Franklin County Historical Society in Washington, Franklin County, Missouri. It is a collection of newspaper articles, organized alphabetically on residents of Franklin County. Mr. Kiel started the collection and the society has continued adding to them as well as other genealogy resources for Franklin and adjoining counties.
For what reason did you start genealogy research?
My mother started some family lines, and I wanted to "fill in the holes". Fortunately, the web and my choice of computer programs--Legacy, have made this much easier than when Mom had to do it by word-of-mouth and a typewriter.
