FTDNA Walker Group 5 - Any other Group 5 members?  My most documented known relative is John Walker, b. 1747, Antrim, Ireland, d. 1837, Blount Co. TN; m. Mary Johnston Rowan, Mar 1779, Cumberland Co. PA.  John joined the Continental Army during the Rev. War in Cumberland Co. on May 1, 1776 for 20 months, being released on Jan 1, 1778.  He and at least 5 brothers--David, Elijah, Houston, James, & Robert--all fought in the Rev. War, arriving from Ireland just prior to the War.  Their Walker ancestors were supposedly from Scotland and possibly Wales.  My brick wall is their arrival to the Colonies and their father's &/or mother's name.  My Walker cousin is a 67/67 DNA match to Group 5 ancestor William Walker, b. 1725, Ireland?, d. 1810, Botetourt Co. (now Craig Co.), VA, but his descendant and I cannot find our common relative. Any suggestions are welcome.  (John's brother James is my 3x great grandfather.)   Sharie Walker Cochran, shariemo@hotmail.com
