I found this pension card on Ancestry.
It also said she filed for it in Missouri and Indiana.

Just incase you didn't know. There is a National Cemetery in Mound City Illinois.
There are alot of unmarked soldiers graves there. It's always possible Ransom could be buried there too.
Cairo and Mount City are in the same county.

Yes, Maddie...that is the Ransom Hatfield and Sara Coleman that I am looking for...How do I go about finding out if he's the same Ransom that was in the IN Co F 9th Cavalry? Bob, I have been to that page for the Coleman info...I guess I keep hoping there will be more or something else...really would like to know what happened to the bodies of the two that died of disease...wishful thinking!

Looking for data on John William Hayley of Mooring Tenneesse. Joined Tenn. Confederates and fought later in Alabama. Any information would be appreciated.
