Salem connections: from Roger Conant to the Witch Trials

The Salem "Witches" are a popular subject of interest as Halloween approaches, each year.  This, despite the fact that the majority of the accused had nothing to do with witchcraft.  To the contrary, it would appear that the young girls who were the primary and original accusers had the whole town under THEIR "spell", and managed to get a lot of innocent people killed, with their shenanigans.  What many of the accused DID have in common was a history of personal quarrels and/or land disputes…See More

many but, some brick walls are Stansbie/Breatcliff, Stoddard/Bates, Krueger/Ratzlaff, Breck (Brech)/Klein, Latham/Girard, and McCauley.
What countries and other locations are you interested in researching?
mostly US and Quebec; also Scotland, Ireland, Germany, France, Hungary, Holland, etc

Advanced Family History Researcher
For what reason did you start genealogy research?
I took over from the research my mother had been doing, and expanded on that. I started in the late 1990's. she had started in the 70's.

What are your genealogy goals? One of my most important is breaking down those Brick Walls!
