Looking for John Cunningham. According to trees I have seen, all unsourced of course :^( , he died in Todd County about 1826. I will be in that area next week and would love to locate the cemetery where he is buried. I have very little info on him other than that he was born in Ireland, maybe in 1755, and married a woman named Jennett or Janet.
On the other side of the tree, additional family names in KY include Hamilton, Wathen, Spalding, Worland, Abell, McAtee, all from the Marion Co. area.

Hello all

Several of my ancestors migrated to and through Kentucky on their continued trek westward. Some came from England and Wales, Scotland and Ireland; some first settled in Pennsylvania, Virginia, and the Carolinas before moving into Kentucky from the late 1700s to the early 1800s, they floated down the Ohio or made the difficult passage over the Wilderness Road and through the Cumberlnad Gap on the very heels of Daniel Boone and the earliest trailblazers.

Charles William Dean, born in Kentucky May 7, 1843. Son of Obed Dean and Martha van Buren. Obed Dean in Ovington, Campbell county, Kentucky, c. 1825 or earlier. Obed Dean’s father, Thomas Deane was in Kentucky by 1810, coming from New England (Maine, Massachusetts). Thomas Deane’s family lived in Woodford county, Kentucky. Wife Susan Freeman, daughters, Thankfull, Eunice, and Susan; sons, Obed and Robert.

Obed Dean’s family: Wife, Martha van Buren; daughters, Elizabeth and Sarah; sons, Robert Waterman, and Charles William (all born in Kentucky).

William Watson Fowler was born in 1823 in Kentucky. His father, James, came from South Carolina, and died in 1825 in Kentucky. (Probable route to Kentucky - through the Cumberland Gap/Wilderness Road)

Thomas Benjamin Gan
t was born in 1803 in Nelson county, Kentucky. His father, William, originally came from Horncastle, England. Thomas Benjamin’s daughter, Spicy, was born in Boone county, Kentucky, in 1827. Thomas Benjamin’s wife, Eliza Hathaway, was born in 1807 in Boone county, Kentucky. Her father, James originally came from Wales.

John B. Pillers was born in 1786 at Louisville, Jefferson county, Kentucky. His wife, Margaret Gaston was born in 1787 in Kentucky. The Pillers had come from Virginia’ the Gastons from South Carolina.
