Brenda- How wonderful of you to volunteer this service. I simply can't afford Ancestry anymore. So I will be intouch. I hope we can find an area where I can help you in return. Ann McDaniel
I chose the county of my interest rather than a familial name because most of my family ancestors settled in Hardin County even before Kentucky was a state. At that time, all of Kentucky was Kentucky County, Virginia. I have lots of information to s…
Most of my ancesterial family lived in Hardin County, Ky. They migrated from Virginia shortly after the Rev. War when land was given out as land grants or bounty's for service in the mil. during the Rev. War.
Ann, sorry I was reading something and didn't see you reply in the chat! My apologies, and you were already gone, I feel bad.
Anyhow, since you are new there, please don't think everyone was ignoring you because all the people listed on the right are only online at Genealogy Wise, NOT in the chat room, I was the only person in there at that time, but people wander in and out, usually there are more during the daytime.
Please do come back and maybe someone can help you or you might help someone else. The groups are also a good resource. I hope that we'll see you back in the chatroom and welcome to GenWise!!
The Chaffin line I married into was not in KY. But I know that there are at least a line or two there I just don't know who they descend from. The Chaffin's in our line started in VA, at least as far as I have been able to get back. From there they went to GA. then AL and TX and TN. Next time I hear from someone with a KY connection I will let you know.
