I have two TYREE lines. One was in central Virginia, then Smith County, TN. The other was in NC, then Lee/Scott Co., VA and then Rockcastle County, KY. I don't see any obvious relationship with yours in Hawkins, TN or Owsley, KY but I wouldn't be surprised to find one. Though, as I'm sure you've found out, TYREE seemed to a fairly common name in those early records.
