I too am a geneaholic.  I have found relatives in Eiderstedt, Germany on my dad's side, worked with a genealogist in Sweden on my mom's side, and on both sides have found family back to the 1600's.  I have been doing this work for about 20 years now.  The fun part is learning!  My goal now is to find family members in Sweden!

Hi everyone!   My name is Nitza and I am a geneaholic....It's been a little over a year since my obsession has started, and I currently stand at almost 1500 people in my tree.  I too include the families of ex-husbands (my mother's) and step-children's other family (my step-daughter).  I have discovered long lost cousins on my side.  And I know sooooo much about my husband's side of the family it is scary. He on the other hand, knows virtually nothing.

I am researching GLOBALLY!  Japan, Mexico, Spain, Italy, Argentina, Romania, Poland, Ukraine, and lord knows what else!

It's pretty sad when you can find marriage dates in the 1600's and you can't find the marriage date of your own grandparents... What a brickwall!!

How about when you research you son's ex-girlfriend's family because they had a child together so it's for your grandchild?

Hi Celia
It could be me! I laughed as well as I'm researching my ex tree also for my oldest children lol. I actually know more about my ex family than they do now! Or when I was part of it! I always said it was like getting blood out of a stone to find anything out from them! lol
