Janet MacDougall, the most likey variation would be LOUBET. or LOUBAT.  LOUBET has the dit name of TOULOUSE. I would try the Loiselle and Rivest marriage indexes which you could order form you local FHC.

Part of my Mother's family come from the Beauce and Maine.

One surname is Luby or something similar

Particularly interested in finding out about persons with a similar name from the Beauce
