Hello.  I am descended from Frances Dubois who was born in Alsace-Lorraine in 1846 and died in 1924 in Illinois.  She married Henry Ohl.  She immigrated around the year 1852.

Hi Pamela,
I don't get on here very often either. Glad to meet new cousins also. I have not worked on my DuBois line in a very long time. Thank goodness for Family Tree Maker. If you want you can write me at rdlwcl@windstream.net I check that one every day.

Hi Pam,
Your second Louis had a brother named Garrit, he is my direct line. I got several phone calls between when I posted a while ago and now so it took me some time to get back here. Garrit married Margretge Elmendorf and theyhad a son Conrad. Conrad married Mary Delemater and they had Abraham who married Elizabeth Graves, they had William Edward who married Mary Melinda Morton. This is as far as I can go because of living people but William and Mary were my 2nd great grandparents.

Hi Pamela,
I just about thought I didn't have your line but I have your Cretien with an h in his name. Will correct that. Yes, we are distant cousins. Great to meet you. My line as I said comes through my mom as well. She is gone also, so we have a lot in common it looks like.

I got a lot of help with my DuBois line and I mean a lot of help but have also done a lot of research myself too. Together with cousins we have them back Louis DuBois 27 Oct 1626 La Basee Artois, France. My line to the DuBois goes through my Reynolds family. My mother was a Reynolds.

My 4xgreat-grandparents were: Mary DuBois & William Robinson from Salem Co.,NJ. She was born 11 April 1751. Her parents were Jacob DuBois & Mary Alliger. Her grandparents were: Louis DuBois & Margrietje Jansen & Benjamin Alliger & Elizabeth Biggs.

Any connection?

Pam in IN.
