Hello everyone!

My Calaway/Callaway lineage is one BIG brick wall for me. It starts & stops with my G-Grandmother Annie "Calaway" Lindsey. She was born abt 1868 in Arkansas.....don't know her death date. She married Eugene W Lindsey on 10 Jan 1884 in Arkansas & they had 7 children.

As far back as I can remember, my mother said her Grandmother's name was "Annie Lori Calaway". I have yet to find any "Annie Lori" but I have found a Nancy Ann Calaway who married Eugene W Lindsey. After Eugene passed away Annie married a Mr. Laws & that is as far as I have on that marriage. Also, Mother said Annie was a Pentecostal preacher -- I don't have any documentation on that, just what my Mom remembers.

I'm sorry I don't have more on the Calaway lineage to share with you all, but that is as far as I have been able to go with Annie.

Later, Deb

My Ggg grandfather was Joshua CALLAWAY. He married Mary WHITE in Birmingham, England, 1 December 1795. They lived first in Lapworth/Nuthurst in Warwickshire and then moved to Weedon Bec, Northamptonshire. They had 6 children: Phebe, Mary Ann, Eleanor, Joshua, Elizabeth and Joseph.

Mary Ann, Eleanor, Joshua and Joseph all emigrated to Pilkington Township, Ontario, Canada around 1819. Phebe married a John BARGE and apparently stayed in Weedon Bec, although I know no more about her. Elizabeth married a Daniel MACE and lived in Leamington Priors, and I know very little about them.

Of the offspring who emigrated, Joseph's children, Joshua CALLAWAY (my ggrandfather) and Joseph Pittam CALLAWAY moved ever westward, from the Goderich, Ontario area, to Manitoba, where Joshua settled in Winnipeg. Their children then moved on to Alberta, to homestead there.
