"Karl! Help me find my ancestors--before I become one!" --A young client.

Hi Allyson Luders! We are committed to helping our clients come to identify & view more data, documents & images on their ancestral family members--prior to our clients meeting them on the Other Side.

Your inquiry might seem simple to you & others, but it is not. In order for anyone to provide an appropriate reply, you'll need to provide a precise name, place, year of event, etc. Depending on the era, getting copies of birth, death and marriage certificates for some of your German ancest[o]rs may or may not even be possible.

As to what you are likely to find on the documentation varies, but you certainly normally would not find siblings in particular. However, these are usually obtainable from some other sources, such as the parish registers.

Now then, serve yourself & us right by providing more specific details. For just one item, we have a minimum of $30 if we can easily obtain onine what you seek, but $100 is more suitable as a research minimum. Of course, much more is requested for more extended research. Your initial research retainer will net you & all others a 50% discount (OK, call it twice as much research{;>)

Hi Debbe!

Let us know if you need some professional help with the Schlesien gazetteer below, for we can also view it at our Mesa Regional FHC!

I saw your HELBIG family tree online. So, as you know, Klein Lauersitz is/was in Silesia, Prussia (Schlesien, Preussen)

From FamilySearch Wiki

To locate Lutheran and Catholic parishes as well as civil registration offices in Schlesien, please use the Gemeindelexikon Schlesien. FHL call number 943 E5kp or FHL film number 491042 . Here is a diagram showing the column headings in German and their English translations: [diagram won't show in this Comment Wall.]

These are following places I am researching:

Neckargartach
Grossgartach
Heilbronn
Heuchelheim
Montabaur
Greuthof
Löwenstein
Cleebronn
Unteröwisheim
Oberöwisheim
Untereisesheim

Most of the lines I go back to 1600's

The only one I am having problem are the Helbig which they came from Kleinlauersitz (which is the German town name) and it is now in Poland under another name.

I am interested in getting copies of birth, death and marriage certificates for some of my German ancesters. Can you tell me prices and what I am likely to find on the documentation. I am interested in siblings in particular. Can you get that from these documents?

Cheers
