What countries and other locations are you interested in researching?
Germany, Ireland, Scotland. Lewis, Upshur and Pendleton Counties in West Virginia.
What is your level of genealogy knowledge?
Beginning Family History Researcher
For what reason did you start genealogy research?
I'm interested in tracing the beginnings of my family ancestry. I know from family members on my father's side, that the Linger surname had been traced back to the medieval time period in the Black Forest (Bavaria) region in Germany, but after my great aunt's passing, the documentation was somehow lost. I am determined to try to retrace these lines of lineage. I am also trying to establish lineal connections to the Civil War here in the US.
