I am new to researching the Powell line and your group.  I would like to be able to talk with Powell line that comes through William Powell, Isle of Wright, Thomas Powell 1 & 2, Douglas Powell 1 & 2, Stephen Powell and Celia Powell.  Celia would have come through Lee Co, Ga married Sanders Davis and lived in northwest Florida...Washington Co, Wausau or Chipley, FL.

Hello,

My ancestors come from Mangotsfield in Gloucestershire and some of my family still live there. I've researched back to Obadiah Powell (1728-1798) and have great fun doing it. My grandparents were the Hughes (Gloucester), Wall (Gloucester/Worcester) and the Clements (Wales).  Happy to share and learn from anyone looking at the same lines.

Kindest

Martin Powell

Seeking any information of those related to Powell family believed to be from Robeson and Columbus County NC.  I have not been able to go further back than 1848.

Hybert Washington Powell 1870-1958

son of William R Powell Sr  (Rawls?Nawls?)

son of William Powell (unknown)

Any help in adding to the tree is greatly appreciated.

Hi. I am one of the Welsh Powells (born in Tredegar but living in Australia). I have a Walter Frete Powell and a William Bebb Powell who went to the US. John Powell from Trevethin, Monmouthshire (1773), is one of my ancestors if that helps anyone..

I have just joined this group.  I can trace my Powell line back to Walter Powell of Somerset County, Maryland but it gets very confusing after that because many of them have the same first names. I would be interested to know if anyone is following the same line.

Hello alll

I am new here but I am wondering if anyone is researching the Powell line from Virginia Madison,Greene, and Culpepper county . My GG Grandfather Willis came to Missouri Howard County between 1838 to 1840. He married Jane Mariah Harrison in Madison County Va. I have information on them but cannot find any on Janes ancestry. Could anyone help me here. Thank You

Hi.  I'm brand new here.  Philip Powell, (Reading and then McVeytown Pa d 1743) is my G4.  John Philip is G3, Daniel is G2 and John Henry Powell(who is quoted in the Memorial History book) was my Great-Grandfather.  So far, it seems that Philip's parents are not proven.  John and Margaret Powell of Paxtang, Dauphin County (was part of Lancaster County at the time) are good candidates.  Note that Philip named is fist two children John and Margaret.  Some of John and Margaret's children (John, William and Malachi) I believe are better tied to Paxtang and the parents.  I would love to concretely answer this question.  John, and apparently Margaret go back to some really cool early Pennsylvania history.  I would be willing to do the DNA thing if it would help.  I know very little about that though.  Anyway, if there are other Philip descendents here, or others researching this line, I would love to talk with you.  Curtis Powell

Looking for information on an Elijah Powell (a mulatto) who was b)~1778 in NC and died 1835 in Clay Co., Kentucky. Myself and a few cousins believe this may be the Elijah Powell in Johnston County, NC. Perhaps the descendant of Stephen Powell and Mary Jeffries from Surry Co, Virginia clan. Any help is appreciated. I have done autosomal DNA testing if anyone is interested, you can find me on Gedmatch.com A075707 and let me know you're a match if you are! This line is a brick wall for me.
