Hi Jan,

Yes..might be interesting. Iahve Richard being born c1832 in Aston, Berkshire.
But Emily was born in Twickenham, Middlesex, c1867.
Emily had a sister Sarah Ann born 1865 in Reading, Berkshire & a brother Henry Richard b.1883. Though he is down as a grandson to Richard in one of the census's then a brother to Sarah later.

Sarah was a music & piano teacher..Henry a Plasterer. Sarah & Henry were living together at living at 20 Wykeham Road, Reading, Berkshire in 1911.
Neither married. Sarah still teaching music & Henry a plasterer.

The speeling of Couling is rather strange..as sometimes its Cowling..but tis is Couling.

Regards
Koczar

I have family in Pangbouren and also in Aldworth, which is not far away up on the Berkshire Downs - I have noticed that there are "Coling/Cooling" family there if that's any help.

Hi,
I have a number of connections to Berkshire starting with my mother Jacqueline Wicks. Her father Jack who was a sapper in the Royal Enginers..Electrical.
And my great grandfather Albert May, who's uncle Albert May (yeah I know..I believe was named after Albert by his father William.) emigrated to New Zealand in 1914. Initially worked on a large farm in Marlborough, NZ (South Island) and died in Nelson NZ in 1948. Prior to emigrating to NZ, Albert held the licence for The Blackboy Pub at Shinfield, Reading, Berkshire, England for eleven years.

Their father, George, was said to be a very successful Gardener who supposedly wrote books on the sudject.

My great grt grandfather, William May married Emily Couling..who's father Richard was the Publican of the Cross Keys In, Church Road, Pangbourne, Berkshire, England in 1881.

I cant seem to get past George May or Richard Couling...so stuck right now..lol.

Also links via my great grandmother (Albert's wife) Minnie Matilda May Gunter.
