On getting my non-identifying information

Well the big day finally came, the packet from the denver court, denver county cort versus the city court, to be more precise.Even though,or at least I thought my records were open to me to me I didn't get any additional names, ie my birth grandparents,, They should be long dead, after all I'm in my late 50's. Thoughts on finding out your birth name

I recently found out that the State of Colorado has some interesting new rules for adoptees. If you were Born/adopted between June 30 1951 and July 1 1967? you can access your adoption records. I am fortunate enough to be in the early part of the dates, just barely, I'm not sure on the exact end date of this group. I contacted, by phone, because I didn't believe what I read, Colorado Vital records and yes it was true so I spent 40.00 dollars that included the price of th money order and mailed… Continue

Cemetaries

Besides going to the Reunion, I took some genealogy along, wassn't as organized as I should have been. Actually I almost didn't get to go. My Husband was put into the hospital on Friday, he insisted I go, had he not been in the hospital and at home I would not have gone. He is home now and doing much better.



My side of the family is from the Denver area and a good many of them are buried in three of the main cemetaries, Riverside, Fairmont and Crown Hill. Fortunately I did call ahead… Continue

Going Home, High School Reunions,

This last weekend I ventured from very rural Wyoming, our town Rock River population 250 to the big, big, big city of Denver, Colorado for my 40th High School Reunion. Go North.



This is a fairly big deal as the only real traffic we see up here is maybe 4 or 5 cars as we go to Laramie, unless its game day.
