Besides going to the Reunion, I took some genealogy along, wassn't as organized as I should have been. Actually I almost didn't get to go. My Husband was put into the hospital on Friday, he insisted I go, had he not been in the hospital and at home I would not have gone. He is home now and doing much better.

My side of the family is from the Denver area and a good many of them are buried in three of the main cemetaries, Riverside, Fairmont and Crown Hill. Fortunately I did call ahead to find out if anyone would be there to help find graves.
Riverside only has people there on Wed and Thurs, I called Thursday and was lucky enough to get a map by Friday as to where the Hannum and Killie family was located, They are all in the same lot.

I stopped at Crown Hill as it is on Wadsworth and on the way to where I was going to stay. The lady was most helpful, wasn't very busy, so we had time to look for names. Found a couple of family members that I didn't know were there. They didn't have stones so I had to go back and ask for internment dates. This is helpful even if they have stones as some of the ones I located only had years on them. She was most helpful, but she told me that the geneaolgy was normally done during the week when they had more staff.

Fairmont was a little harder for me to get around because I hadn't been out there as much. every one was most helpful and I found what I was looking for.

Boy am I glad I have a good digital camera, I was able to get good legible pictures and armed with the information I managed to glean was able to come home and go to the University of Wyoming and get into their microfilmed newspapers and find some Obituaries. Next time I'll take my flashdrives so I can get digital copies, They just remodeled the library and didn't keep all the old printing readers and the one I used didn't make very good copies and it was hard to read the screen, it was so dark. But I managed to gain some understanding of a part of mly family and life is good.
