Well the big day finally came, the packet from the denver court, denver county cort versus the city court, to be more precise.Even though,or at least I thought my records were open to me to me I didn't get any additional names, ie my birth grandparents,, They should be long dead, after all I'm in my late 50's. But I did find out my ethnicity, at least on my birth-mothers side....found out she was Dutch, Irish, Scottish, English, Welsh. Basically the same as my adoptive parents, except the Scottish part. My mom was 5' 6" tall, so am I brown curley hair, well my hair was brown, blue eyes, She liked school, but had a hard time with math, same here. How cool is this?

My birth father, denied parentage, No surprise there, it was after all the Korean War and he was transfered two weeks after meeting my birth mother. According to the information was 6ft tall blond hair, blue eyes.

OK so where did my brown eyes come from? So many questions answered, so many left unanswered.......

Interestingly enough was the mistake on the information sheet of my adoptive parents. This is a type-written document, so I am inclined to believe it is a photocopy. My adoptive fatheasr's birth year is 1909, which is really his correct birth year, even though elsewhere it is given as 1910, which is what he was using at that time. That's another story. But the big mistake is that my adoptive mother's birth year was given as 1909, she was born in 1915. I don't know where the 1909 came from, as it is listed correctly in the rest of the documents. So it goes to show you even the courts make mistakes. The only logical explaination is the clerk got lost and was looking at something else, who really knows??????

Oh well maybe the State Home has some more answers. Even if they don't at least I have some answers and that is more than I had before.
