W. Thomas Stack, Jr. replied to Claude P Perry II's discussion Sinclair research site in the group Clare/de Clare and Sinclair Surnames
"My Sinclair lineage goes back to the founding of the colony of New Hampshire, where most of my line is documented, but back to Scotland I have a problem to make the connection. Love to share with anyone who might have the same lineage.  "

England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland
What is your level of genealogy knowledge?
Intermediate Family History Researcher
If you are a genealogy expert, what are your specialties?
I don't consider myself an expert in anything but I have been researching since 1990, starting with the Mormon Church family history centers, the Mormon Library, and been to Europe, particulary Switzerland, and did some research on my Swiss side of my family. Most of the time I'm using Ancestry.com and whatever genealogical websites there are on line.
For what reason did you start genealogy research?
On my mother's side I descended from the Coopers of Cooperstown, New York, where I grew up viewing the family tree of the descendants of James Cooper who arrived in Philadelphia as a Quaker around 1680. And what really got me started was a xerox copy of a page on my great-grandfather, William Henry Cleveland, from the Genealogies of the Cleveland and Cleaveland families in America by Edmund Janes Cleveland and Horace Gillette Cleveland.
